Swish cellular PVC represents an environmentally responsible use of plastics as it does not contain lead. PVC is a highly sustainable material. The BRE currently quote a reference service life of 35 years for PVC construction products, which allows for the more limited durability of incorporated non PVC components such as metal hinges. PVC roofline and cladding profiles have no non pvc components and a lifespan in excess of 60 years is considered likely. The absence of maintenance and replacement costs over this period represents a large saving over alternative materials.

A key characteristic of Swish cellular PVC is therefore that it will not suffer from 'pinking' discolouration.

A range of foiled boards is available in popular colours that carry a 10 Year Guarantee. White cellular PVC profiles are guaranteed for 15 Years and carry BBA and BSI certification.
