SILVAPERL is a division of William Sinclair Horticulture Ltd specialising in the manufacture and supply of ULTRA LIGHTWEIGHT Aggregates and fillers to many facets of industry from HORTICULTURE to CONCRETE.
SILVAPERL dates back to 1978 when it was conceived purely as a marketing organisation for PERLITE, factoring re-screened material from industrial suppliers to its own specification, on to Horticulturists.
By 1980 SILVAPERL had acquired a PERLITE production facility at Lowestoft; this, together with the addition of a VERMICULITE furnace, spread the business across a wide range of industrial market sectors.
During this period senior managers with knowledge in this area of processing and sales were brought in and the business experienced considerable expansion.
However, due to the Company's limited resources and frustrated growth potential, in 1987 the Directors took the decision to join the William Sinclair Group and subsequently SILVAPERL's mineral processing business relocated to more suitable premises at Gainsborough and, with capital investment in new plant and equipment, is now one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of these materials in the UK.
