John Porter Ltd continue to be involved in number of prestigious health care projects, the latest one completed is the Nuffield Hospital at York. The former Nestle dining block has been transformed into a new home for Nuffield Hospital and includes 40 bedrooms, 3 operating theatres, imaging and physiotherapy departments and a health screening unit.
Shepherd Construction began work on the new hospital in September 2003 and John Porters supplied over five hundred HEALTHporte doorsets against a very tight programme which involved a high level of co-ordination between the two companies. The varied specification included x-ray, laminate, oak and louvred doorsets.
