ArchiClad it! | 19 Jan 2005 |
Fabric Architecture introduces ArchiClad - a flexible fabric cladding system that can be adapted to suit most application requirements
Incorporating stainless steel fixtures and our revolutionary new environmental fabric Solarglass Weave the ArchiClad system allows infinite 3D permutations to:
Protect glass buildings from Solar glare
Hide unattractive facades and create lighting and signage opportunities
Create new build and regeneration projects.
Most architectural cladding creates little or no flow, and the overall effect is bland. With ArchiClad, creating organic cladding forms is relatively easy and inexpensive.
Fabric panels are increasingly being used as an alternative and cost-effective solution for re-vamping tired 1970s buildings, by using our Solarglass Weave, (a glass coated woven mesh), it has a translucency allowing light to shine through, which has a quite stunning effect says Debra Drew partner, Fabric Architecture.
Sustainability versus Design
In these days of high cost, low maintenance, pressure is on designers to conform to the governance of creating sophisticated ideas whilst still ensuring that what emerges from the plan is an achievable concept.
Pricing would be in the order of 125m2 as a design, manufacture and build cost.
ArchiClad gives you form, sustainability, longevity, shading, and ventilation with a Class 0 rated fabric.
