ProLogis Developments has awarded single source supply contract worth approx £2.4 million per year to a Midlands industrial door manufacturer, which includes an exclusive maintenance deal for tenants.
Coalville based Hörmann UK will supply the loading bay equipment and level access doors for all or ProLogis’ distribution centres around the country.
The agreement includes a three-year, free maintenance period for tenants, which will not be offered to any other developer by Hörmann for at least two years.
Fergie Taylor, First Vice-President with ProLogis, says: This is an excellent deal, both for ProLogis and our customers. We believe Hörmann provide the best quality product available in the market and since the loading facility is at the sharp end of our customers operations it is essential that we provide the best equipment. The three year free maintenance is an added benefit and proves the confidence that Hörmann have in the quality of their product.
The agreement is also flexible and should any prospective customer, have their own preferred supplier of loading equipment we are more than happy to incorporate their supply chain into our development.
ProLogis’ Property Management team will take an active role in the handover procedure with tenants, to ensure the relevant maintenance agreement is put in place, while pro-active management of the ongoing work load and supply by Hörmann will ensure on time delivery to our customers.
