Huge Investment By Selwood | 3 Feb 2006 |
Selwood has recently made a multi-million pound investment on a wide range of new plant for its own rental fleet.
With new plant currently being delivered to the company’s branches throughout the country, the investment encompasses over 400 items of new equipment. This represents 1.2 to 7.5 tonne Yanmar and Kubota mini excavators plus 5.5 tonne Hyundai excavators, nearly 60 single and two tool Atlas Copco compressors and a wide range of dumpers from both Thwaites and Barford. The latest 10 metre Manitou and 12 and 17 metre reach Merlo telehandlers have also been added to the fleet as well as 100 items of Bomag compaction equipment.
Nearly 50 fully bunded Fuel Cubes have been bought from Western Trailers along with a range of lighting towers and generators.
Managing Director Kevin Bright commented. “This is a significant and sizeable investment which we have made to ensure that we can meet local market demands. All the equipment has been bought from leading manufacturers in order to continue with our policy of supplying only our customers first class equipment.”
