PREMIER ADDS TWO MORE STORES | 23 Feb 2006 |
Premier Broadoak in Canterbury and Premier Court Road, Orpington have become new recruits to the Premier symbol group in January 2006. Part of Booker, the UKs largest Cash & Carry, Premier is one of the fastest growing independent symbol groups in the country.
In the South East, roughly taking in everything in a line from The Wash down to the Isle of Wight including, London, a Kent based architectural sign manufacturing company, Sign 2000, is responsible for the implementation of Premiers new signage.
Steve Fox, Director of Retail & Premier, explains the Premier offer. Premier provides independent retailers with all the benefits of a major organisation while enabling them to retain their own individuality and personality all without charging a membership fee.
The Premier brand has been designed to be vibrant and modern with eye-catching window graphics in positive yellow and purple livery.
Neil Scott is Sales Director for Sign 2000, of Paddock Wood, near Tonbridge, Kent, who have installed almost 350 Premier sites. He explains in detail how Sign 2000 go about reproducing the Premier brand in the built environment.
The fascia sign is a trough-lit folded aluminium construction painted bright yellow for maximum visibility with graphics applied to the face. Highly impactful screen-printed window graphics are then applied.
In addition to the external fascia and window graphics, the Sign 2000 team install a decorative pelmet to the store interior together with a range of eye catching point of sale material. Typical of towns and villages across the UK the store locations are varied in both size and design and each presents its own set of challenges in order to present the Premier image in the best way.
Before any work is done at all, Sign 2000 visit each store and undertake a thorough survey. A complete set of visuals showing how the new site will look is then presented to the Retail Development Manager for approval.
Frequently the Sign 2000 installation team will be working in conjunction with shopfitters as they refurbish the store internally a situation that often means concepts have to be reinterpreted on the move!
Premier also offers certain prospective members the option of a Premierplus store suitable for larger stores which, when fitted with the Premierplus package, aims to match any supermarket for style, practicality and general ambience.
Steve Fox is in no doubt that the independent retailer has much to gain from becoming part of Premier. We offer great support for retailers who want to develop their business, but remain independent. Our team can help with every aspect of retailing from profitable promotions to exceptional store standards and effective merchandising to discounts to drive down business costs. I believe Premier offers the leading proposition to independent retailers to help drive their business forward.
