Aylesbury Fire Station | 24 Apr 2007 |
Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service have taken possession of a new state-of-the-art fire station in Aylesbury, replacing the station which it had used for more 30 years.
The appliance bay doors were specified as Phoenix range Swift doors by Jewers Doors Limited of Biggleswade. From closed, the doors provide full opening (width and height) in just seven seconds approximately 10 seconds faster than a typical sectional overhead door of the same size.
On this project at Aylesbury Fire Station, there are five appliance bays, with automatic doors on the front and matching hand-operated doors on the rear. There are also an additional four doors on the workshops. Kim Thompson, Project Manager at Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, says: "Jewers Doors has been a preferred supplier to Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service for over six years. We chose Jewers Doors for their high quality products, good installation, good after-sales service and excellent reliability."
