    Milliken provide fast and flexible flooring solution for Liverpool Victoria

    When looking to refurbish their Head Office the management at the Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society wanted to ensure that the installation of their new flooring not only looked good, but was a quick and easy process to install.

    Liverpool Victoria Friendly Society is one of the UK's leading financial service companies, renowned for top performing products and an enviable record in customer service.

    Dunlop Heywood Architects were responsible for providing a design specification for the refurbishment and chose Milliken Carpet's Omni® Myriad range with TractionBack®.

    TractionBack® is a patented innovation by Milliken which not only keeps the carpet in place, but does so without the need for wet adhesives. Its unique friction hold surface eliminates the need for large areas of adhesives allowing for a cleaner, less disruptive carpet installation.

    To further provide a fast, clean and flexible solution, the installation of over 700m² of carpet was rolled out in 3 phases using Milliken's Levitate® office furniture lifting system. Using a series of custom designed mechanical tools which are placed underneath any type of office furniture to lift it smoothly and safely, Levitate® raises furniture off the ground in one smooth controlled motion, enabling you to re-carpet occupied office areas without the need to remove any furniture – saving time, money and disruption.

    Milliken's Onmi® Myriad range has been laid in the main office area at Liverpool Victoria as its sophisticated look, which is laid completely randomly on the floor, ensures that installation waste is minimised and tiles can easily be replaced with no incompatibility issues. Whilst its unique ComfortPlus2 cushion backing provides enhanced underfoot comfort and sound absorption qualities.

    Kevin Gilling Head of Property and Facilities at Liverpool Victoria said 'Not only was the installation quick and easy but the benefits of ComfortPlus2® have provided a comfortable environment for the workforce and has helped improve the acoustical properties of the setting.'
