Aluminium Gas assisted Bridge plates
When the height differential between the lorry and the loading dock does not warrant the use of a conventional dockleveller, and is to great for the TR and TRR models then a Gas assisted aluminium bridge plate offers a cost effective alternative.
With the Gas model range the bridge plate is easily raised and lowered into positioned with the minimum of effort due to the gas assisted support strut.
Constructed from specially designed extruded aluminium profile, the Sliding GAS and Stationary Gas Series with a capacity of 4000kg is available in a range of sizes to cater for most applications. Especially useful where corrosion resistance is important.
Lateral movement of the sliding model is easily achieved, because of the slide rail attached to the edge of the loading dock. The bridge plate can therefore be placed in exactly the required position. After use, the bridge plate can be securely stored in the upright position, for tidiness and safety.
The use of strong, durable aluminium in the manufacture of the Series also indirectly offers a number of environmental benefits making it a popular choice for modern commercial applications. Having considerable natural aesthetic quality, aluminium generally requires no additional surface finishing. Similarly, its inherent properties ensure that no added corrosion inhibitor is required. The material is non-toxic, and ranks amongst the easiest of our modern metals when it comes to re-cycling.
