The Original Argeton | 16 Jul 2007 |
Telling Architectural has launched an extended Argeton range of natural terracotta rainscreens in formats up to 400mm in height and 1250mm in length. The new kiln at Argeton will also produce finishes of 'engobe', riven and glazed to meet demands for low maintenance and self cleansing rainscreens capable of combining thermal efficiency with natural elegance.
A collaboration with Foamglas® recycled cellular glass insulation is leading to a redesign of support systems to meet the demands for non combustible and sustainable source building with low carbon emission.
Argeton has been selected for two schemes in the USA.
- Our sunscreen baguettes were recently installed on the new offices of the John Deere factory plant in Iowa
- Leading panelising contractor, Eastern Exterior Systems, has selected our system for application on to their unitized offsite manufactured panels for the 303 Third Street project in Boston, MA. Three thousand square metres of natural red terracotta have been produced and shipped for use in May 2007
Telling Architectural are now working with two further manufacturers Imola of Italy for Porcelain and Mayor Ceramica of Spain to expand their range of low maintenance and high performance facades in modules up to 600mm in height and 1200mm in length.
