Monodraught Windcatchers Now Eligible for Enhanced Capital Allowance Scheme (ECA) | 27 Jul 2007 |
Monodraught are very pleased to say that they have been advised by the Carbon Trust that the full range of Monodraught Windcatchers and Sola-vents have now been included on the Energy Technology List (ETL) having been assessed as meeting the relevant Energy Saving Criteria and will be included in the ETL as from 1st July 2007. This means that customers or businesses who install our Windcatchers or Sola-vent products may benefit from 100% 1st year Capital Allowance on their expenditure, which includes the supply and installation and controls.
This is a massive step forward for Monodraught and the Natural Ventilation Industry in not only making Natural Ventilation schemes so much more attractive financially but this is also a great compliment to Monodraught and the Natural Ventilation Industry in that the Carbon Trust has recognised the energy saving aspects of the Monodraught Windcatcher and Sola-vent systems.
What this means to a typical Client in practice, on the basis that they pay 30% Corporation Tax is that on a £40,000 Contract, they will save virtually £12,000! Everyone has always considered that Windcatcher natural ventilation systems offer a highly cost effective alternative to air conditioning but now, with this Enhanced Capital Allowance scheme, they are even more cost effective.
