Wernick Hire is pleased to announce an exclusive three-year contract as sole suppliers of its unique Anti-Vandal flexible modular system (AV flex) to Rok plc. The contract, worth an estimated £10 million, will see Wernick Hire deliver high spec temporary modular buildings to Rok sites across the UK.
Developed by a Rok and Wernick joint working party, the AV flex units offer the ultimate in security, with a vandal resistant welded steel exterior, featuring fitted deadlocks and heavy duty security shutters.
The flexible nature of the internal fit-out, tailored to suit individual needs and to an extremely high standard was particularly attractive to the Rok Group. Buildings can be open plan or partitioned to create individual office space or communal staff areas. The unique AV flex units can fit together without the need for linking corridors, creating a more compact site footprint whilst providing a flexible open plan work environment.
Martin Evans, Procurement Advisor for Rok, played a key role in negotiating the new contract, he said:
"Wernick Hire has been appointed as sole supplier of temporary accommodation to Rok plc because of their ability to supply the unique anti-vandal flexible modular system (AV flex). CEO Garvis Snook, is keen to recreate on-site the look of our Regional 'Rok' Centres. They are lively open-plan working environments that reflect the vision and brand of Rok, encouraging teamwork, promoting equality and acting as a reminder of our differentiation.
"'Rok' philosophy is that on-site staff provision should match the aesthetic quality and high standards enjoyed by our office staff. Equally important was the open plan aspect, flexibility and high quality anti-vandal protection. Wernick were able to deliver all of these things, and the unique connecting facility of the buildings has given us the added benefit of reducing the site footprint by up to 30%."
Following this successful collaboration and partnership working, Wernick has already invested £2m in the new AV flex product. Wernick Director, Michael Thistlethwaite acknowledges this contract shows real confidence on both sides and a commitment to best practice, he said:
"Three-year contractual agreements of this nature are quite rare and at Wernick Hire, we feel this shows real commitment and confidence on both sides that we can deliver.
