Kronospan Gives Distributors The Full Picture | 30 Oct 2007 |
Kronospan has provided its distributors with the capability to access realistic 3-D graphics of finished products by teaming up with a market-leading computer software company. The full range of Kronospan products can now be viewed as part of a complete room set, providing a valuable selling tool.
The software, created by ArtiCAD, allows both flooring and furniture distributors to pick and choose surfaces and accessories in kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms, when demonstrating products to their customers. The graphics are created from high-resolution scans supplied by Kronospan and enable customers to see instantly how their finished room will look. The quality of the scans used by ArtiCAD in the program ensure an accurate finish.
Mark Bircham, Kronospans product development manager, said: Few people in the trade, let alone retail consumers, are able to visualise an A4 sample as a complete kitchen, bedroom or bathroom. ArtiCAD allows customers to click and view different decors and finishes instantly on a computer screen, in a realistic 3D image. This reduces the reliance on the time consuming and expensive photo shoots, traditionally used prior to decor specification.
The software is constantly updated with new products added to keep the available designs up-to-date. Ancillary products can also be included into the software making it a useful tool for other distributors such as those selling doors and handles.
Furniture distributors can also use the new software to source the ancillary products for customers by tying in with Kronospans Matchline service, which lists accessories such as vinyls, paper foils, melamine and PVC edging tapes and mouldings. The full Matchline listing is available at www.kronospan.co.uk. For more information on ArtiCAD go to: www.articad.co.uk
