Speed Gates & Pedestrian Control |
As with all businesses, security is a fundamental concern for any facility management within a growing organisation. However by awarding Frontier Pitts with the contract to install perimeter security protection at a Newcastle Upon Tyne site, providing complete peace of mind for the resident.
Frontier Pitts fulfilled the perimeter security requirement of the site by providing a five metre wide speed gates and pedestrian access control turnstiles. VHF Controllers and push button controls were used by the security guards to operate the gate and control access. A vehicle detector system installed in the ground, and safety photocells, ensure the gates close safely once the vehicle has passed through the gates.
Health and Safety is extremely important to Frontier Pitts. All automatic gates are fitted with safety features as standard and thoroughly tested before leaving our factory. Products are also CE marked for added assurance and quality. Bi-folding speed gates feature a variety of safety options to international standards, including electric safety edges, vehicle detection system and safety photocells; elements that are not provided as standard by most other manufacturers.
The companys extensive portfolios of gates are designed to provide a high degree of security, controlling access for vehicles in a wide range of styles that complement both contemporary and traditional architectural designs. They can also be custom designed to match a sites specific requirements.
With model options offering both electrical and hydraulic operation, Frontier Pitts bi-folding and speed gates combine high levels of security with a fast acting speed performance of up to 1200mm per second. Manufactured in widths of up to 8 metres and heights of 6 metres, the individual gate leaves can be guided by either an overhead gantry or special underground track.
The underground track unit allows for both high speed operation and for any height of vehicle to pass through the aperture. In addition, anti-tamper devices prevent a gate leaf from being lifted off its pivot point, whilst individual customising includes site-specific gate leaf design or infill material in any colour scheme to match the surrounding environment.
To prevent corrosion, all gates are shot-blasted, sprayed with pure zinc, followed immediately by a sprayed filler primer and, finally, painted in a wide range of colours. A choice of control systems are also available, including remote pushbuttons, card and token readers, digital keypads and vehicle detector system.
Frontier Pitts also installed their popular FPT1 full height turnstile at the Newcastle sign to control pedestrian access.
Speed Gates and full height turnstiles, like all Frontier-Pitts products, are entirely designed and built in Britain to the most stringent international standards.
