Expansion A Good Sign For Sign 2000 | 2 Apr 2008 |
Following the addition of several more blue-chip names to its client roster over the past 18 months or so, Kent based architectural sign manufacturer and installer Sign 2000 has invested in building additional production facilities to meet the growing demand for its services.
In addition to their existing 8,000 square foot manufacturing base in Paddock Wood, Kent, they have established a 5,000 square foot dedicated project management facility close by designed initially to deal with the huge logistical requirements involved in their recently won Morrisons account. Additional storage and office accommodation is included on the new site.
All sign assembly and distribution will take place in the new facility which is being staffed by 8 new employees to begin with, with another 6 being taken on at the Head Office factory.
Sign 2000 has also invested in its equipment with an upgraded router and additional digital printer being part of an initial £120,000 investment in the business.
The Morrisons win comes at the end of a period which has seen Sign 2000 add many new blue chip names to its client list including Nationwide, Abbey, Woolworths, Superdrug, O2, TK Maxx and Marks & Spencer amongst others. This is in addition to an already impressive existing client list that includes Brewers Fayre, Beefeater/Premier Inns and Bookers (Premier).
Murray Crompton, Sign 2000 Managing Director, believes the company is right on schedule in its plans for the future.
We see this opportunity as a significant step in our long term strategy of ensuring that Sign 2000 becomes one of the leading players in the specialist sign making market. Our continued growth is as a result of clients having faith in our ability to provide a quality product and excellent customer service.
