Caro Flood Defence Systems | 2 May 2008 | Caro FDS, having recently been selected to provide a Flood Defence installation within one of Dover Port Authoritys Cruise Terminals, has now completed the installation.
The Dover Port Authoritys problem had been that, during the winter months when Cruise Terminal 1 was closed for the season, there were problems with flooding.
A solution was investigated and researched, to be able to prevent water ingress into the building - WaterWall and WaterDoor from Caro FDS were chosen as the perfect combination of convenience, quality and cost effectiveness.
These barriers can be erected in the off-season quiet months, to protect susceptible, un-supervised areas inside and then removed when the Terminal re-opens in the spring.
The WaterWall and WaterDoor components can then be put away into storage, until the end of the travel season (or brought out within minutes of a warning) thus allowing full access for passengers.
Caro Flood Defence Systems have been supplying the WaterWall and WaterDoor systems for over five years and were selected due to the highly engineered quality of the design and manufacture of the product, combined with economic pricing.
Since its inception, Caro Flood Defence Systems has supplied flood protection to various projects, ranging from one-off residential doors and gates to satisfying the demands of the larger commercial property.
Caro FDS are part of the Caro Group of Companies that have been supplying and manufacturing in the UK since 1985.
The other images shown (bottom two), feature other clients who have invested in our flood barriers and can now have the peace of mind that they have measures in place should the worst happen.
