SWISH PVC EXTERNAL CLADDINGThe Swish Cladding range offers specifiers an extensive range of cladding styles, sizes and fixing components. The range is offered for new build or as a low maintenance replacement for timber cladding. Swish Building Products is an ISO 9001 registered company. Swish cellular PVC represents an environmentally responsible use of plastics. As recommended by the European Commission, Parliament and UK Government, Swish cellular PVC does not contain lead. With more than a decade of production based on this formulation, specifiers have real time evidence of the colourfastness of Swish white cellular PVC profiles, which are now backed by a 15 Year Guarantee against discolouration. When eventually replaced it can be easily identified, and fully recycled. Swish external cladding is non-porous, with an impermeable outer skin that forms a weatherproof protective barrier. When combined with insulation, PVC cladding will significantly reduce heat loss from a building. Composition and manufacture Swish cellular PVC is an extruded, foamed material with an integral smooth and durable skin. It can be cut, drilled, nailed and routed using conventional tools. It is light to handle, easy to fix and does not require painting or subsequent treatment after installation. It is also durable and weather resistant, and does not rot, warp, flake or peel. Swish cellular PVC profiles have been assessed and awarded British Standards Kitemark (KM 33730) and British Board of Agrément certification (91/2622). Finish and appearance Swish cladding components have a smooth gloss surface and are supplied as standard in white. Coloured and foiled finishes are also available. Swish cladding comprises a choice of Shiplap, Open V, Tee Gee or Featheredge designs, in a range of 3 widths, with a comprehensive range of trims and fixing components offered for each type. Dimensions Swish cladding profiles are supplied as standard in 5m lengths. Other lengths can be supplied to order, subject to minimum quantity restrictions.
Sitework Products are light and may be worked using standard carpentry tools. For claddings up to 2 storeys batten/fixing centres should not be less than 600mm for white cladding and 400mm for coloured cladding. For installations above 2 storeys centres should be reduced to 400mm for all cladding. Coloured and foiled claddings are subject to special fixing instructions. specifiers. DECORATIVE INTERNAL CLADDING SYSTEM Swish supplies Marbrex, a decorative internal cladding system, which is an attractive alternative to tiling and other forms of wall decoration. Made from PVC, Marbrex is rotproof and waterproof. The durable honeycomb structure helps to insulate the room and so reduces condensation.
