The Type X cavitray is designed for use on stepped and staggered gable abutments. It consists of a moulded solid DPC tray to which is attached a ready-shaped lead flashing. When installed within the external skin above the roofline of the gable, it creates a linked DPC barrier to protect the masonry below the roofline. It also prevents water reaching the inside skin. The integral lead flashing is simply dressed at a later date by the plumber. The cavity upstand of the Type X adjusts to suit the actual cavity width encountered, from 50mm up to 140mm. For horizontal applications, Cavity Trays Limited produce the Type G general purpose tray for new build and the Type E for existing build. Both are supplied in moulded lengths which lock/clip together to form long runs. The locking coincides with the perp joints, so long runs comprise of self-contained lengths, each with stand-alone status and individual discharge facility.) Thus the result is a system with which one can easily identify and pinpoint a problem - which is not possible with lap systems or conventional roll DPC. Product liability.

The Type W caviweep/cavivent is a perp sized unit through which water is discharged from DPCs, cavitrays, lintels etc. It also operates as a perp vent, promoting the cavity to breathe. Thus this dual purpose product addresses the requirements of the NHBC, Zurich Insurances, Building Regulations and British Standards.

The discharge route is non-clog and should not be confused with products with limited discharge apertures. The integral grill is insect resistant, unlike some styles which do not have protective grills to safeguard against insect entry. The Type W caviweep/cavivent offers an unmatched specification.
