Glass is
often the weak point of a building, whether attack is from
vandals, burglars, terrorists or the natural
elements. Glass can turn an everyday accident into a
disaster; for example a child playing and falling
into a glass door, a shopper slipping near a plate glass
window, or an overhead glass pane shattering and falling
from its frame.

are used for a variety of purposes in Airports, Banks,
Government buildings, Retail Outlets, Hospitals, Schools,
Car Showrooms and any other businesses with a large
expanse of glass.
Solarshield's range of
Safety/Security Films are designed and tested to British
& European Standards to hold shattered glass in
place. BS 6206 & EN 12600 impact standards have
various categories to assist specifiers when selecting the
break safe performance of glass. Solarshield has films
available to upgrade glass so that it meets each of these
categories.
If glass is coated with one
of Solarshield's Safety/Security Films and then subjected
to explosion, violent attack, or accidental impact, the
glass would be contained by the film, providing protection
to personnel, protecting property, and deterring unwelcome
