HepvO® Waste Valve

The HepvO® valve is designed to prevent foul air from sewers entering a home through plumbing appliances. It is much more efficient and foolproof than traditional water seal traps or 'U' bends and offers greater design versatility.

Traditional traps rely on a water seal which sits in the U section. However, the water can be depleted because of evaporation, syphonage and other related problems.

HepvO® removes the reliance on a water seal. Instead, it uses a purpose-designed membrane set in a slim, white polypropylene tube. The membrane is opened when water passes through it but, once the flow ceases, it closes to create an airtight seal.

  • Not subject to installation restrictions applying to water seal traps.

  • Can be fitted vertically or horizontally, directly to or remote from the appliance.

  • Can be installed at any reasonable distance from the soil stack.

  • Performs under back pressures 10 times greater than those experienced in typical soil and waste systems.

  • Complies with BS 5572: 1994 Code of Practice for Sanitary Pipework and Document H of the Building Regulations 1985, 'Drainage and Waste Disposal.
