OCS Engineering - Fall Arrest
 |
Providing the key elements to
safe installation and maintenance of Suspended Access
Equipment You need to protect the
investment in your Permanently Installed Access Equipment as well as being
certain that any work done protects the people who use
it.
|

|
OCS Access (previously
Cradle Runways), now trading within the Engineering
Division of OCS Limited was founded in 1956 and has specialised in
access equipment ever since. Our ethos then as it remains
today, is to offer a well-designed, easy to install and easy to
maintain product at the lowest possible price without compromising
safety and quality. With increased safety legislation and the
switch of responsibility to end users and specifiers, Clients,
Architects and Contractors alike have continued to choose us.
By so doing they gain peace of mind in knowing that the job will be
carried out to the highest professional standard by competent and
caring staff.
OCS Access (previously Cradle Runways)
achieves these objectives by continually investing time and
money in both people and technology. Our approved quality
systems to ISO 9001:2000 and commitment to Investors in
People is a just recognition of this achievement.
|
|

|
Our staff are carefully and
continually trained to handle each aspect of the project, both
during the initial enquiry/design and manufacture stage and more
importantly during the ongoing maintenance period. We recognise
that this commitment not only leads to increased customer
satisfaction but also contributes to the continuous growth and
success of OCS Limited.
For even greater peace of mind please
remember that OCS Group Limited is the worlds largest,
privately owned, international property support services
organisation. We are therefore able to offer, either alongside or
incorporated within our maintenance service, a competitively priced
and seamless window cleaning service. Having both the
maintenance and window cleaning carried out by the same company may
avoid costly interface problems and will ensure competent training
of end users.
|
Finally, please remember we are here to help
and keen to share our expertise. The offer of sound, practical and
cost effective advice is all part of our service.
Mission Statement To retain our
position as the leading organisation providing and maintaining facade
access solutions.
Implementation We will achieve this
by:
- Continually striving to lead the market in
all quality and safety related issues.
- Tasking all employees with understandable
and achievable goals.
- Constantly striving to understand the ever
changing market conditions and to always exceed the requirements of our
customers.
- Continually develop long lasting
relationships with customers, employees and sister companies
alike.
|

|
The track record of OCS
Access speaks for itself and we are always trying to deliver
Quality, Service and Value with a policy of continuous
improvement. As part of the OCS Group we offer stability and
accountability. If you need us we WILL be there.
OCS Access Systems recently
completed a bespoke access system for the new Royal Bank of Scotland
building at Southend. The system comprised of two special
external gantries with removable cradles over a glazed barrel roof
and an internal gantry within the main entrance atrium.
Particular importance was emphasised by the Architect to achieve a
high quality finish and aesthetically pleasing
appearance.
|
We were highly commended by the
Architect's Consultant on the appearance and function of the complete
project and a snag free handover to the
Client.
|

|
Also at Swiss Re, OCS
Access Systems have installed 108 separate monorail systems in
the atria between floors 3 and 27.
All of the works had to be carefully
co-ordinated by our design team to ensure that over 800 support
brackets were accurately located to avoid fire sprinklers, heating
services and data cabling trays in the floor and ceiling
voids. Setting out of each system was carried out by a
specialist surveying company using total station theodolite which
was able to accurately mark the position of over 3200 holes which
had to be drilled through the concrete floors to bolt the monorail
support brackets, all of the setting out data was transferred
directly from the OCS Design Office to the survey company via
e-mail and downloaded onto the theodolite's system.
|
Once installed, each monorail had
to be tested at night to minimise disruption to the
site programme. OCS completed all works ahead of the
Clients expectations and to the complete satisfaction of the fit
out contractor, Kontour GTCM.
