Technical Specifications


The Rapidplan™ 3000 building system is based on steel frame modules 3.00m and 4.00m wide and in lengths of 6.00m to 12.00m.  The modules are used as the basic building blocks to form the building and because of their steel frame construction they can be stacked to form two or three storey buildings.
While the building is under manufacture, site works can commence thereby much reducing the overall contract period.  Each module is manufactured with services and decoration in place where possible ensuring quality throughout.



Roofs
Galvanised steel beams and cross purlins support insulated plastic-coated profiled steel sheeting creating a warm deck construction with non-vented eaves.  The design load is 0.60 kN/m².  Roofs are set to a 1º pitch with black square section PVC gutters and down-pipes to both eaves.  Fascias are profiled black plastic coated steel.  Alternative traditional truss roofs with tiled finishes are also available.  Ceiling heights are 2.4m, 2.7m or 3.0m.  Ceiling finish is white vinyl plasterboard.  Highbay options are available together with suspended ceiling finishes.

Walls
External walls are made of panels that are generally 1.2m wide and of sandwich construction.  Standard panels have an outer facing of plastic-coated galvansied steel and inner lining of vinyl-faced plasterboard.  Both are bonded to a solid insulating core set within a timber frame.  Options include stone aggregate or brickwork skins.

Electrical Installations
Electrical installation is designed to suit individual building requirements in accordance with I.E.E. Regulations.  The main wiring is concealed within
Doors
Standard doors fitted are of painted softwood for external use and self finished for internal use.  Alternatives include aluminium doors or a specification to suit a clients requirements.

Windows
1200mm x 900mm and 900mm x 375mm powder coated aluminium framed with fixed glass or full opening top hung sash.  Double glazed float glass
units, lockable handles, restricted friction hinges.  Options include UPVC frames, safety glazing and guards.

Decoration
Exterior finish in mushroom colour plastic coated steel, black powder-coated windows, black fascia and red doors with white frames.  Internal finish - vinyl faced plasterboard to walls and ceiling with black skirtings and trims.

Floors
Galvansied steel beams and cross joists support an insulation sheet and 19mm plywood decking.  Design load 3kN/m².  Increased floor loading also available.  Floor finishes to choice.
the roof voids and in mini-trunking down the inside face of external walls.  Standard fittings include fluorescent light fittings, electric convector heaters and twin socket outlets.  We can also supply full voice and data installations.

Plumbing Installations
Designed to suit building layout.  Standard equipment includes white vitreous sanitaryware, copper supply and P.V.C. wastes complete with lagging, isolating valves etc. to comply with current regulations.

Heating Options
2 & 3 kW wall-mounted thermostatically controlled convector heaters.  We can also offer gas/oil fired wet system and climate control.
