Swish cellular PVC is a very resource efficient material. The installed costs of PVC and timber roofline are roughly equivilent but PVC requires no maintenence during its service life, it is capable of lasting the lifetime of the building and can be fully recycled at the end of that period.

Timber is often thought of as bein sustainable if it comes from renewable sources. What is generally forgotten is that timber requires regular maintenence (every 5 years according to the BRE), is unlikely to last as long as PVC and cannot be recycled once it has been contaminated with paints or stains.

Swish is at the forefront of advances in PVC recycling for roofline and cladding with an emphasis on the development of products containing post consumer materials. The Swish rainwater system uses 84% recycled material in the gutter and pipe profiles which saves approximately 70% of th CO2 output that would have been generated by using virgin materials alone.

A key characteristic of Swish cellular PVC is therefore that it will not suffer from 'pinking' discolouration.

White cellular PVC profiles are guaranteed for 15 Years and carry BBA and BSI certification. A range of foiled boards is available in popular colours and carry a 10 Year Guarantee.
