Remmers unique mortars have revived the iconic 1930's Art Deco hotel, originally designed by Oliver Hill recently renovated by Urban Splash.
The concrete frame was repaired with Betofix fast curing mortars, corroding steel protected with Corrosion Inhibitor and the entire façade rendered in a bespoke Glass Render system.
The Glass Render, developed for the design team includes 4 types of recycled crushed coloured glass that provides an effect causing the building to glisten in the sunshine.
The render also contains a waterproofing agent which provides long term protection from driving rain and yet remains breathable to respect the buildings dynamics.
