AS Hardware have recently released a new range of door handle pulls and vision panels to compliment their existing ‘standard range’ and ‘designer range’ of products.
The COMBI range of door handles allow the specifier to choose from a range of materials to make up a composite door pull. The handles are available in both straight and cranked offset styles and a selection of diameters. The main body of the handle is primarily stainless steel with the ‘grip’ area made up from either coloured nylon 6, or a variety of hardwood inserts. The insert can be placed in the reccomended ‘grip’ zone at 1000mm from FFL allowing the main body of the handle to be extended either side of this area to a specified measurment. The handles are ideal for use in areas where there is some uncertainty as to document M’s requirement for ‘primary main entrance’external handles which are not cold to the touch, with timber and solid nylon 6 being poor conductors. The combination also allows for a selection of finishes to be specified to meet the requirement of document M’s reccomendations for a contrast between foreground (door handle) and background (door), to cater for the visually impaired.



The regulation included in document M for clear vision areas in solid doors can be met by using the ASH 300 range of both fire rated and non rated stainless and coloured vision panels.
