With the increasing demand for schools to be more carbon efficient, one of the main areas schools are targeting are cycling schemes. Schools are noticing the benefits of pupils cycling to school not only by the children but the wider community for reducing road congestion and pollution.
Bilton Junior School contacted Autopa when they required new cycle storage to improve their pupil’s health and ensure the bikes were stored safely throughout the school day. Working together with Autopa, the most economical and appropriate solution was achieved by using the Canterbury cycle shelter and extension with Sheffield cycle stands. Pupils of Bilton Junior School can now ride to school knowing that their bikes will be safe and dry.
Also available from Autopa: posts, bollards, vehicle access control, smoking shelters and cycle security.
